NM Tie-bar and DDM Works Ram Air Scoop

I did not know whether to post this in in the Suspension section or the Drivetrain section but here is my question: Will the NM Tie-Bar fit with DDM Works RAS? I have read around the forum and cannot find this answer. i am pretty much a noob when it comes to aftermarket parts so be nice.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I have the NM tie bar with a Stage 1 JCW cold air intake on my 2007 MCS, no clearance problems, works great. I don't know anyone with the combination you describe. Sorry, this might not be much help.

Would it be possible to get a pic or two of this install? Thanks.

Photos of NM Strut Brace w/JCW Stage I CAI

I hope these photos come through and helps you understand the clearances between the bar and the CAI. I know the clearances look close but I have not experienced any rattles or other problems since installing the NM Engineering strut bar and the JCW CAI. I hope this helps.

He has the ram air scoop (RAS) on the hood. That tie bar is probably going to put a nice dent in it if it closes the hood.

David, I think DDM actually released a tie bar that works with the RAS but it isn't displaying on their web page for some reason. Call them up and ask!

I believe it is a GTSpec strut bar shown on the picture on their website

Don't know what the NM stands for, but here is their strut brace.

It's a super nice bar that can be preloaded.

NM Engineering is the name of the tuning company referred to as NM. It is a subsidiary of an old established company, I think I have read it is Neuspeed. The products I have purchased and read about appear to be solidly engineered, high quality materials and manufacture. Their website is: http://nm-eng.com/

Thanks for the information. I guess i won't be buying the DDM (RAS) as I already bought the NM tie-bar, i mean unless i want dents in my hood

What do you all think about this M7 bar? I seems nice and sturdy.

http://www.m7tuning.com/parts/produc...roducts_id=135

It is $80 less than the NM bar.

I really like the NM tie-bar because it is very well made and fits across the engine with a good amount of clearance between the tie bar and the intake. I did not buy the m7 bar because people have said that it rubs a little against the stock intake when the engine moves up during acceleration. I would buy the NM tie-bar, it is worth the extra money
