KW3 3's or M-7's for coil overs

Which one of these are best for lowering the car as well as good performance. Thanks for your input

I have the M7s. They have been on for a few months and I am very pleased. Adjustability for height should meet anyone's needs. The compression/ rebound adjustment is quick (1 or 2 minutes for 4 wheels) and easy. I did a couple of track days with them recently and liked how they felt. I am considering adjustable camber plates, so I haven't done a corner balance yet. I can't offer any info on the KW3.

if you're looking for good out of the box coilovers then from what i've seen on the forum M7 seems to be the way to go... but if you're going as far as KW V3s price wise then i'd actually have to ADD two coilovers to your list.

so for cheap but good coilovers M7 is a really good choice.

for higher adjustability i'd have to say either KW V3s, JIC Cross Coilovers, or if you life somewhere around Philadelphia Area in Pa, NJ, or NY i could let you test drive my custom Koni's.

there are a couple ups and downs for any of your choices tho.... ALL of the coilovers here are heavily adjustable ride height... but just remember that when rebound and compression are changed at the same time, that means you only have 15 or whatever settings that are preset. other coilovers like the KW V3s and my Koni's are double adjustable so you can adjust rebound and compression seperately. V3s may be even better for what you're looking for considering they have factory set lowspeed compression and rebound and you can adjust your own highspeed c+r... KW are also good for people who want to SLAM their MINI... i suggest against it because of the possible adverse effect on suspension geometry but that's neither here nor there... i've driven in an R56 with KWv1s and that honestly may be all you need... unless you WANT or NEED to spend the extra money to adjust it yourself... most worth while manufacturers know exactly what their doing. Me, i love to adjust all things depending on driving situation, weather, what part of the country i'm in and what track i'm on... ergo my double adjustable and custom coilovers... they're perfect for me... but send me a PM if you want and just tell me what kind of things you're looking for and maybe i could give you a few ideas. just because i'm not motivated by sales and such :P not that there's anything wrong with sales and people selling things, that's just the economy.

but whatever you choose, just know that 90% of the time, whatever you choose will be a compromise of some sort... even if that compromise is as small as "handling is 1000 times better than stock, except over speed bumps, that's harsh"... better than stock all around except speed bumps... compromise but once again, it's all about what YOU want our of your MINI...

The question is, what are you looking to do?

For the vast, VAST majority of drivers out there, the KW V3's are complete overkill unless you're spending a lot of time at the track, know how to tune your suspension, etc. You can spend a lot of time tuning the V3's to get them setup just right... Double adjustables aren't for 99.99% of people out there...

KW V2's would be my choice for 99.99% of people out there. Singles are a whole lot easier...

We can get custom KW's in virtually any flavor you might want, with custom valving and spring rates to meet your needs. FWIW, they'll also outperform any other coilover setup on the market - hands down.

Listen to tsw... They're a damn good company! And I'd have to agree, for most v3s are way overkill...
