Anyone have any experience with either the Outmotoring coilover kit or the Koni Threaded Body kit?

Do the M7's come with camber plates or is that a required add-on?

M7= No camber plates...so add a couple hundred to the bill for that
There are a lot that do not come with camber plates...only a few actually do...

Have camber plates= Cross/JIC, BC, Megan, D2(some models), G4(some models), and KSport. There may be others, but that is all for now on the list

Thanks for the info Brian Your sales pitch is fine by me! I welcome any vendor in here as long as it is extremely civil and mature! I am righting this as more of a disclaimer for anyone else who would want to chime in. If things get out of hand I will report them to the mods and ask for the specific post to be removed.

There that should keep things smooth...I hope.

BTW Brian it has been a while since we have talked! I will send you an email, since my PM box has been flooded for ever

That all depends on how the rotor was manufactured. It is a never-ending debate I guess, haha.

I think that it also depends on what you want the slots to do...
The way motorer03 has them in that pic would help expel the gasses and if he flipped the sides it would bring "fresh" air into the rotor more...

At least that is what I think it would do...I could be wrong...

buddy club coilovers

thanks to ninjlao, whos friends with the owner of buddy club, said the coilovers are being tested by his friend using his very own mini. they are inverted monotube design with progressive springs up front and linear springs in the rear. not sure if it comes with camber plates and if they are in the final design.

When I installed my BC's last weekend I left ride height as it was set from the factory. I'm going to bring it down to its lowest setting as I'd like to get rid of the gap....so my question is do I slam it down and then get an alignment or get it aligned and then lower it down. The reason why I'm asking is because the rears are at a pretty negative camber setting right now and the fronts are at zero. Adding negative cambers lowers the car more and taking away negative camber raises the car so if I'm going to lower it more the camber would likely change no? BTW I'm also aware that the springs will settle resulting in a slightly lower stance than when first installed so I will take that into effect when setting ride height.

get the alignment after lowering. i waited a week for the springs to settle first. the "zero" camber on your plates after install may not be a true zero...in fact i'd be shocked if they were. you'll see what they really where when you get the alignment done. when they take out some of the negative camber, the ride height may increase...but only a small amount. now get working on those alignment specs!

I've been driving back and forth to work the past few days 50 miles each way so by the time alignment day comes I should have about 600 miles on them, which I think is enough time to allow everything to settle. So what you're saying is just slam all four coils down, get an alignment and then see where I stand with ride height? I'm going to use the BC how-to thread for recommended alignment specs, I know you posted some as well as a few others so I'll take that all into effect. I'm looking for a setting that will increase the occasional twisty road drive yet not be too harsh on highway driving which is what I do most.

Steve
