K&W coil overs your comments please

Well I have been thinking about getting a set of K&W coil overs and there is a set on ebay right now with only 2500 miles on them. What are your thoughts on K&W coil overs (Version 1) for the street? Do they ride well on uneven pavement? Do they require spacers with stock wheels?

Any comments would be appreciated.

P.s. I had H&R coil overs (only height adjustable) on my 02 mini s and it rode incredibly smooth when I lived on long island

Thanks

I have KW Variant 1 Coilovers and i love them... I find the they ride comfortable although some rough roads can be a bit bone shaking... These have been set up quite well by the factory...

I had to fit 5mm spacers with my 18" JCW Alloys as when i had it lowered 2". The lower spring platform was scraping on the inner rim of the alloy. The spacers sorted this out though...

Not sure about other stock wheels but you should be ok... I am now running OEM 15" 7 hole alloys with 175/65 tyres for the winter and there is plenty of clearance....
