Hi all. Our '02 MCS has recently developed an apparent coolant leak. It leaks in the middle right behind the radiator, splashes down on the little plastic underbody, and then leaves a small pool of coolant under the car. There's somy dry coolant on the bottom of the engine block as well. Now the weird thing is it doesn't happen (to my knowledge) during the daily commute where the revs seldom exceed 3k rpm (yes, it's my dad...). I'll take it out and shift anywhere from 3k-5k and when I return, there will be a puddle of coolant under the car a few hours later. It doesn't leak much as I've only topped off the coolant once in the past several months.
I've had it up on jackstands and couldn't find where it's coming from but it's not from the lower coolant hose going out of the bottom of the radiator. Could it be from around the water pump? Any comments would be appreciated.

There were many of the 02 MCS's that were manufactured with defective "O" rings on the supercharger/waterpump. These were repaired under warranty. Mine was one of them. The symptoms you describe are exactly what mine did in September of 2002.
Thanks! I'll have to get it up to the dealer soon.
