Windows stick

Here lately (twice), I have had my windows refuse to lower. When I used my key FOB, I could unlock the car but the windows and the sunroof would not open. The windows would not drop when I opened the door. Also, I could not lower the windows or open the sun roof with the switches. After about 10 minutes, everything started to work! This has happened twice on everything, and one extra time on the driver side window.

Does anyone have any ideas of what caused this?

No never heard of this. But to reset the windows, open them all the way, then close them, and hold the toggles in the up position for, not sure here, but at least 10 seconds.

Remember, if the windows are not ALL the way up they won't dip when you open the doors. I always hold the toggles in the up position till I feel/hear the toggle click.

When this problem occurs, I can't lower my windows at all. They are completly non-functional.

The window motors are a bad design and many of us have had both sides replaced under warranty. Smacking the door panel near the hinge hard may make it work again for a little while. Wouldn't explain the sunroof, though.
