If the OP is driving his Mini and there is coolant in the oil his engine will die a very quick death! When coolant is mixed with oil it dilutes the oil, engine wear happens so fast.

Thanks for the detailed help. I'll try this one last attempt before taking the car in. I just find it weird that the last time I took the car for service they didn't catch it and I stopped driving the car a few days after my service was done.

Just don't take it to the dealer unless you have a warranty and if you are lucky enough to actually be able to use it. Dealers don't catch it unless it's a stored code, without stored codes dealers are helpless.

Pic 3

I had the tank filled, no leak, turn the car on and left it on for about 5 mins looked around and did notice a small puddle of water. Not sure if u can tell what area from the pic I took. I can see the small puddle if I look between the intake tube where the thermostat area is. The two white dots are the reflection from the water. As for the oil. It still looks to be the gold/bronze color. Again, that's for answering all my question and not bashing me cause I'm not to car savvy.

Did you have your AC on?
A car idling with the AC on will drip water...
Coolant is coloured, slick, and kinda sweet smelling...

As for why a dealer/shop did not catch the leak...
If you never complained, and the coolant wasn't low...they never looked...

No ac was left off. Oil is good. Going to call the dealer to see if it possible to get a "good faith" repair or at least a discount. Sucks that my car is in near mint condition in and out with 41k miles, never had any issues except changing the oil and tires. I do have the exclamation light on but it's because I didnt take the tpms sensor out when I got the jcw rims.

With a simple fix and a 7+ year old car, might be a good time to try out an independent shop...
They typically charge HALF what a dealer charges for labor.... So even if the dealer gives you a 10% discount, pretty small...
Having a relationship with an independent shop that you have tried out can be important (a small job is a great way to test them out), even if only to get an estimate on any $$ future repairs if debating having them done with the dealer....the $$ in prices can be SHOCKING on some jobs...
There are many shops that specialize in MINI and BMW cars..... Don't just go to any shop IMO.

I hope you can get the good faith. Good luck.
