2005 R53 Cooper S - Chasing down a P0442 Code

Hi everyone.

So I failed emissions today because of my SES light (I know I probably shouldn't have even tried.) I read online here that the P0442 was commonly related to the leak detection pump as I already checked the gas cap. There are a few cracks in the O-Ring which I'll attach pictures of.

Anyhow, while trying to remove the Leak Detection Pump/Charcoal Filter assembly, I was unable to lower the assembly as per the Bentley service manual. There seems to be two overhead mounting points that I can't figure out how to remove. Any help is appreciated, as well as any things I can try to track this problem down. Thank you.

Adam

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think your "overhead connectors" might just be posts with rubber grommets around them. Give em a good tug and see if your tube pops loose!
