We have a 2009 Cooper base which hesitates in any gear up to 2000 rpm, over 2000 rpm there is none.
We are getting 38 mpg with AC on as it's stupid hot here in VA so it does not seem like a misfire.
any idea's?
I just got my car back over the weekend and they replaced the thermostat and coolant. No more loud sound when turning off the car however the car is hesitating starting at 2 rpms again. Spark plugs were just replaced in July ... and thoughts?

That aux pump for the turbo can buzz pretty loud when there's air in your cooling system. If you have ever had an aquarium you know those pumps buzz because there is water and air bubbles going through them.

Ended up taking the car back to the shop and they replaced the clutch. Didnt really think it was the clutch causing the hesitation but so far the car is running great! Knock on wood.

I had my clutch and flywheel components replaced recent and in second gear if you let it get to low in the RPMs it will start jerking back and forth, now that's a clutch with some grip!

How much did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking? The used car dealership whom I bought my mini covered the repairs.

I ran over a big tire on the freeway that was 100% percent unavoidable and that's when my throwout bearing started whistling/squealing, should have seen the Mercedes buck upwards that ran over the tire first! So my car insurance paid for the labor ($1900, Mini dealership) and $1400 for the parts.
I found many online places that sold the same geuine Mini clutch and flywheel parts for $869 (ECS Tuning ), but the Mini dealer wouldn't warranty a part that wasn't ordered through them even though it was a Min part.
