I shall be having my 3d coolant overflow reservoir installed. #1 leaked after 1 year and #2 after 6 months. Are there any aftermarket reservoirs where you can see the level, unlike the current aluminum version that requires you to open the cap? Many thanks

Mine has deveoped a leak too, but mine is plastic not aluminum. Unless I have something else leaking.

Ken,
The syntax in my post wasn't the best. The aluminum tank out there is an after-market item. The OEM tanks are indeed plastic. I'm going to let out a few expletives if tank #3 (installed last week) springs a leak!
I'm guessing not.......try racing or speed shops though......
I have checked with a number of shops, but nothing that would work in the Mini was available. I'll still try to source something in case (perhaps I should say "for when") tank #3 fails.
