Door handle trims falling off

Recently both my door handle trims have started falling off as you try to exit the car. These are the trims that you over the tweeter and around the door handle. For some absurd reason, the HK silvery ones are 3 times the price of the other colors, at $31. Each.

Anyone got a clever fix that isn't gluing them into place?

Mine came off when the car wash guys were cleaning the door panel so I have a feeling that I will also benefit from any input as well.

I would also be interested if someone has found a fix for this problem. Mine have been popping off occasionally when pulling on the door handle from the inside.

if you don't want to glue

first try a wrap or two around the taps with some good quality plastic tape (trim all excess close) .. odd are the tabs have lost their grip

if this doesn't work or you don't like the idea

try a couple of small pieces of double sided tape (carpet type)

if the thin carpet tape doesn't grab

look for the double sided foam tape .... about 1/16 inch thick . . .
