It seems like I've had this issue ever since I bought the car. Basically, when starting from a completely stopped position, the car "stutters" almost like the tires are having difficulty grabbing. This seems to happen worse when it's colder outside, but this happens from almost complete stop, regardless of the temp.

I'm completely lost, and have tried to explain this to my mechanic to no avail. any help here trying to diagnose is really appreciated.

 

Mine stutters when leaving the house in the morning from a cold stop, doesn't happen after that. No idea why.

 

I just spoke with my mechanic (indy), and he mentioned that he had a similar issue on another Mini, and it ended-up being the slave cylinder. That sound right to anyone?

 

Funny you should mention that. I have a new one to install on my car sitting on the kitchen table. Going to try and find time to install sometime this week.

 

Installed it last night. Seems to have helped the shifts but can't tell that much of a difference in the morning take off.
