Loose shift lever? Maybe?

I've had my '11 MCS for a few weeks now. Yesterday, it occurred to me that the shift lever was looser than it has been. It just seems that way. I could be imagining things. I did a search, and found people with a lever that had completely come disconnected, etc., but mine still works just fine. It just seems to have too much side-to-side play, either in a gear, or just resting in the "home" position. There's about 5/16" of side-to-side play. Is this normal wear? How tight should it be?
My nearest dealer is 2 hours away, so I'd rather not make a trip if nothing's wrong.

Nothing wrong - just me getting used to a new car. I took it to a dealer, and they verified it...normal play.
