Problems after alternator & battery replacement

Last week the alternator on my 2002 MCS went bad. After replacing it and the battery, I have no background lights on the speedo or tach, no OBC display, and the DCS light stays on. The obc appears to be working because I still get the audible alarm when the outside temperature is 37 deg F. Has anyone had similar problems?

Have you tried re-setting your computer? Doing it from the dash will do a full test also...and you will be able to see if the lights cycle, etc.
Check the "Viagra" thread for instructions.

Thank you for the recommendation Zippy.

I tried the computer reset today. No change, also no sign of lights during the test. I cleaned the ground straps and connections. At first, the DSC light went off, however the second time I started the car it went back on.

I'm afraid that I will need to take it in for some diagnostics.
