Hey guys, im not much of an active user here on the forum but i have always been a faithful reader. Read and learnt alot on this site but i tend to fun much information on ENGINE KNOCKING on the R56!?
Because im situated in South Africa, it is really hard to get my hands on parts from the states. So at the moment im running custom intake, custom cat-back exhaust and a local engine tune. (The engine tune was done by a company well known for their ECU-Flash tuning, popular for BMWs, VWs and AUDIs in the country)
**I find it that if i floor the gas @ 2nd or 3rd gear @ lower revs, a severe knocking sound could be heard. The car jerks for a split second and returning to normal boost/power.** I only use 93 octane BP gas, and because the fuel in the country is said to be over-rated, the power from the ECU is only tuned up by a mere 16whp.
Please help with the issue, any input is greatly appreciated!
