Aftermarket radiator support - one small difference...

I couldn't bear to spend $300 (my cost) on a new OEM radiator core support panel, so I bought an aftermarket one. Came yesterday, well packaged, and aside from missing the stickers on the top, it's identical to stock.

One small issue though - the air inlet on the very top that attaches to the intake tube is centered on the a/m piece, and my stock one is offest towards the driver's side. The a/m opening is much larger and square, whereas my stock panel has a smaller oval-ish opening.

What can I do about the intake? Just leave the angled piece off? Is there an updated piece? When I look on realoem, the pictures shows a centered air intake opening....wtf???

if your stock one is broken, maybe you can modify them both and use the top of the old one and the base of the aftermarket one.

Took a peek on realoem - from the looks of it my suspicions are true - the panel is for an r50 - which has a large centered square intake :( wonder if I can piecemeal this together...

They sent you the wrong one. I'd just get the right one, otherwise it will look hacked when your done.
