DSC and Brake Light acting weird - 2010 MCS

So I searched and found some related problems but they all seemed just a little different in some way....

So first of all we just picked up our new MCS yesterday. Drove it home (200 miles) with a few stops and no issues whatsoever. We took it to some friends' house to show it off shortly after we got home and on the way to our friends' house (less than 5 miles away) both the DSC light and brake light came on - both yellow and it made the noise like it makes when you try to start it without having the clutch in. We tried pushing the DSC button but that didn't seem to do anything. The car seemed to run fine the whole time. Once we got to our friends' house we turned the car off then on and the lights were still there, we played with the DSC button and e-brake but couldn't get the lights to go off. So we let it sit there for a couple hours while we were visiting with our friends. When we left the lights were still there. Drove it home - car drove fine. When we got home we turned it off then on and the lights were gone. Drove it around today with no issues (although we did have the parking brake warning light flash briefly once, but it went off right away.) I'm assuming that this will happen again eventually.

Is this a known problem with a known fix?

So the nearest dealership is about 90 miles away, but they are opening one up here early next year I believe. I'm not convinced this is a big deal and is something we can live with until we can get the car worked on at the new dealership. I especially wouldn't want to drive 90 miles one way only to have a dealer not be able to correct the issue.

This happened the first day we had the car. I checked the brake fluid anyway and it was full.

Any other thoughts?

Others have suggested going to Auto Zone to use their code reader. As I understand it, if your vehicle hasn't registered a code and you can't reproduce the problem at the dealer, they won't be able to help you.

You may find it never pops up again. All cars seem to have some of these little issues when brand new.

Now i am not saying taht you should not have it looked at but there are lots of reports of these things happening.

As corcoranwtnet have auto zone or another parts place read the codes. if there are none then you probably have nothing to worry about.

Alright then, I'll chalk it up to being part of the break-in and if it comes up again I'll worry about it then.

Thanks all!
