Windows go down by themeselves

We just started having both the drivers and passengers side windows rolling down by themselves while our car is parked and turned off. The car is a 2009 Mini S. This has happened three times now in the past two days. I'm certain the keyfob is not being hit accidentally to open the windows. The auto up and down feature work fine. Anyone experience anything like this?

I had a couple of BMW's that would do the same - and I assume there is common electronics there. The car would be parked no where near any key so it wasn't an accidental holding down of the button.

I did come out one day to find my passenger window down all the way and no recollection of having done that. Not sure how the passenger window could have gone down by itself though.

There are plenty of threads related to your issues...like this one!!

A trip to the Dealer is in order and have your car "re-initialized" there is a new update that is supposed to fix the problem.

Good Luck!!

I'm not having an issue with the window dipper feature. My windows go down without anyone hitting any buttons or switches, and always with the car turned off. Sometimes the car has been parked for a few hours and we'll come out to find the windows either partially or all the way down. The window dipper function works fine on either window and they go all the way up and down.

A Window "Fix" is a Window "Fix" the re-initialization (re-program) will fix the problem, they'll run scans through your Foot Well Module and if it fails it will be replaced as well fixing your Window problem.
