Proud owner of new 09 Clubman S.... sort of...

Hi guys,

I just purchased my first Mini on Saturday. Was really happy until I learned I would not be taking it home that day. It turns out that while they were prepping the car, the check engine light went on and some sensor was faulty. I will have to wait a few days for them to get the part in stock and fixed. I was so in shock at the news that I don't remember exactly what sensor broke.

Should I be expecting issues such as this all the time?

uh, thanks... I think.
I guess it wasn't really a question.

I guess I just have a bad flavor in my mouth already but I'm sure once I take delivery, it will all be washed away.

You can always walk-away, re-order or go buy another Brand all together. I'd be a bit hesitant on taking delivery of a car that had to be 'repaired' before I picked it up...I mean you never even got to sit in it!!

Discuss it with your service adviser - Loose gas cap cause cels - An O2 sensor could be fouled -- Lots of simple things cause cels.

Chill Out. Don't sweat the small stuff. Most everything is under warranty for quite some time. I predict when you are motorin, you'll be smiling big-time! Congrats on your new ride & welcome to the club.
