Won't start, gas pedal stopped working while driving

As i was driving back home, i heard like a faint pssh sound and my gas pedal stopped working. I got to the side of the road and turned the car off. Tried to start it but it wouldnt, only clicks, like there is no fuel but i have half a tank. I recently took off my blockoff plate and bov so maybe i knocked something loose and it fell off when i was driving? before that i had an oil change at the dealer.

My bro says it could be the fuel pump.

The gas pedal is electronic (fly by wire) so there's probably an electronic doo-hickey attached to it that went bad or got disconnected.
