Door lock and power window problems. (the third time now)
2004 mcs built 4/04. 25500 miles. this is the third time now my drivers door has had a problem. the first 2 times the cable came undone and the dealer replaced it without charging me. now about 3 or 4 days ago the door locks quit working on the drivers side. i can still lock the doors with the key, but i have to manually unlock the drivers door. plus on top of that, my drivers side window quit working today. i had the passenger side go out twice and the dealer fixed that both times no charge, but this is the first time i've had problems with the drivers window. also my windows are very loud and squeaky when i roll them up and down. has anybody else out there had similar things happen, and does anybody else have windows that squeak loudly?
03 MCS (Dec 02') - Currently not able to remotely lock/unlock driver side door. Will try an look for a how-to fix. All other doors / hatch are ok. No window squeel though...
Looks like you need a door lock actuator ~$115 - they die quite often, and you also may be looking for a window regulator~$150. There has been some fixed by removing the window motor and cleaning the contacts.
