Right hand axle support bearing

Has anyone replaced the carrier bearing that supports the two piece RH axle? The whole thing rebuilt is over $500.00 US. I am in the process of pressing it off, and need to buy a new bearing.

I'm doing a transmission swap (R50 to R53) and bought a new RH axle, but it didn't come with the carrier bearing. It doesn't seem like the one on the R50 axle will fit with the R53 setup. I've put it on, but it simply doesn't fit. Did you ever find a new bearing, and if so where?

I'm pretty sure the R53 bearing has a larger diameter inner race.

Nope. The R50 bearing fits perfect on both axles. The problem is that with the Getrag Transmission, the axle sits about an inch and a quarter futher back from the engine at the point of the support bearing than it would with the Midlands. In other words, if you put the R50 support bearing on the R53 axle and try to mount it to the engine, the will be a gap. The Getrag transmission is larger than the Midlands.
