My 2004 Coopers drivers door power lock started acting odd this weekend. At first it worked fine all morning, then it started locking only but not unlocking, then it won't work at all. I've tried the key fob and the dash switch.
Any ideas???

I had the same problems and then the lock stopped working completely.
Dead actuator.
I have not replaced yet but there are instruction on this site.
Same problem here on an 03 MCS driver side. I was able to change out the actuator myself with a little help from NAMers. Before you buy a new one from your local MINI dealership, check with Classic BMW, he's on the NAM vendor list and will give you a good discount on parts. Service is good also.
