Stutter on acceleration...
#26
Hi
At first check the coil and the sparkplugs For corrosion
clean them with metal brush and put dielectric spray
The problem for me was the corrosion .
It has to be brushed to be clean the coil from corrosion
I solve the problem with new spark plugs Cables and clean the coil again
Good luck

hi, i know this thread is out dated now but i have the same problem. i'm assuming you never had this problem before the pulley+ colder range plugs installed right? if so, then we have the same problem because, since i installed the pulley and a colder range plugs. it happens to me on the highway when i accelerated hard after 60-70 mph. my first thought could be my ignition coil because terminal 3 has corrosion and the car never had a tune so, im upgrading my ignition coil and im putting fresh wires hoping to solve the problem and im switching to a different gas station.

The exact same thing is happening on my 2014 Countryman with 51,000 miles on it. I can find any solutions. Clearly this is an ongoing problem. Last time I brought it in they replaced wireing harnesses on two cylinders and said all plugs look great.
Is this just HPFP failure that I've been reading about?

2013 Cooper, similar symptoms: at 40,000 miles+ a slight stutter/hiccup when accelerating in the 2,000 to 3,000 rpm range. The issue got progressively worse over the next few thousand miles, until the stutter was worse and the Check Engine Light started to come on when it occurred; with the Engine the running 'rough' until turned off and then re-started (when the CEL would clear).
Problem diagnosed as bad ignition coils; with the coils and spark-plugs replaced all is well again.

Miss while accelerating at highway speeds
I had the same problem in my '11 Clubman S, 6 speed, 47,600 miles. The dealer replaced the plugs and coils and the problem went away.
I couldn't get any codes on my Blue Driver Bluetooth scanner. The dealer said he got misfire codes on all cylinders. Also, I just got notice of a 10 year/100K miles warranty extension on the turbo.
