Scanner Reset Tool to borrow?

I need to borrow a Peake scanner / reset tool to reset the service interval on the MCS. Can anyone help me with this? I plan on ordering one, but I was hoping to delay the purchase in favor of tires which are more urgent.

Prima,

I have one on order, but it is not here yet. It should be here soon though as I believe it has shipped. You can borrow it when it comes in.

If you are just needing to reset the oil service interval, you can do that without a reader. There are some threads here on NAM explaining how to reset the service interval if needed.

Let me know.

Thanks, I found a thread with the procedure. I will get the scanner eventually for fault code readouts, unless there's another way to get them. I have a Bentley and it lists all the codes. I know the OBD I BMWs have a procedure for accessing the limited fault codes that OBD I issues without a scanner. It's cumbersome, but free.
Thanks again.

OK I tried the procedure which involved holding the trip reset button while turning the ignition to position 1 and waiting for RESET to appear, flash etc. The problem is I never saw the reset message come on. Only a "tESt" text using the odometer led pixels.

I have had the dealer reset the service indicator for me and at no cost.

Adam,
I will want to borrow that tool after all. Will you be at the Porsche DE in October?
Thanks,
Peter

I haven't decided yet. I'll let you know. If not, we'll work something out.
