Does anyone have time this week to help with a few things? I have the front struts (stock tophat, JCW spring, Bilstein sport inverted struts) out but I need help with the following:

1) Disassembling the top hat/spring: I've rented a spring compressor but I dont have a socket that fits inside the hole that the dust cap covers to take the top hat assembly off

2) Because the strut is inverted, it is essentially inside a housing that I can take off from the bottom. the nut comes off easily, but I couldn't get it to thread out with the hex key in the bottom. I can still get the stud unthreaded by using the jam nut method, but I will probably need help with this

3) Will have access to the bumpstops after that. I'd like to remove 10-12mm from the bumpstop and add a packer in. This will help get the car looser for autox.

4) Put it all back together!


Shouldn't be too much work but I don't have the tools or experience to knock this out. If any of you guys have some time this week, I'll happily provide the pizza and beer while we work on it.
