I thought of this on the way into work this morning. MODOT is closing the Daniel Boone Bridge on Friday August 27th and it won't reopen until Monday morning. Anyone coming from the Chesterfield area on 64/40 will need to rethink their route. More information can be found here:
Is this the bridge that would go over into like weldon springs?

Yes, this is the bridge that links the Chesterfield bottoms area to St. Charles County. It's also the easiest way for people coming from St. Louis to get to the wineries. We'll all have to loop around to I70 to get out to O'Fallon.
Oh yuck!! And there's no other way for those of us coming from south & west St Louis to get across the river that I can think of. I suppose we could do the Page extension & then backtrack. Fiddlesticks!! I'll have to leave an hour earlier!
Doug,
We should try to let everyone know so they aren't late. Going to Page or I-70 will add considerable time and they may be late arriving!!!

And for anyone coming over from the Illinois side, I-55/70 will be closed just west of Gateway Raceway as they are demolishing the Exchange overpass. Supposed to be closed from 9pm Friday until 5am Monday. I know it's not part of the route at all, but it may affect people making their way to the event!
It is longer for sure, but I would take 255 either north or south and pick up 270, then take the page avenue extention to 94 south to 40/64, then K is the very next exit.
I would figure at least 1 hour or maybe more travel time, it will be worth the trip.

The event is open to all MINI/Minis, you don't have to be a club member, but we hope you join the club after you attend this event. We are quite active and have a lot to offer.

TRAVEL WARNING
This is the last chance I have to warn you about the road closing in our area, it almost seems like MODOT & IDOT are against our winery run this weekend.
Just a reminder that Hwy. 40/64 west bound will be closed over the Missouri River on Saturday. You will have to take 270 to the Page Avenue Extension to Hwy. 94 south to Hwy 40/64, then the very next exit is Hwy. K, where our starting point is behind the Starbucks at 4581 Hwy. K. Drivers meeting is at 10:00 and we want to be on the road by 10:30
Hwy I-55/70 on the IL side of the river, as they are demolishing the Exchange overpass (near Gateway Int'l Raceway). It's scheduled to be closed from Friday night at 9pm until 5am on Monday morning. Thought this might affect folks coming from points east, so wanted you to be aware
Let’s not let these road closures ruin our event and a chance to help BACKSTOPPERS. As usual raffle tickets will be $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. Checks are gladly accepted made out to BACKSTOPPERS
See you at 10:00AM on Saturday………………..Motor On!

I pulled into Balducci late, like 3:30 and your white MINI was the only one left. I parked next to it, and wandered around wearing a M.T.T.S 2010 shirt, but couldn't locate any MINI owners. I missed this years run, but seem to be on an "every other" schedule anyway. Hope everyone had a fun and safe drive!
The band sounded good. I stayed around and heard some Elvis, some Bo Diddley, and a lead guitar player who danced like Dan Ackroyd, even though he was trying for James Brown!
Very good run again Doug. We had a blast! Put us down again for next year.

His name was Tim Poertner at bent-treephotography.com As of this morning no pictures have been posted (I've been checking everyday), however I heard he had been on vacation, so hopefully we will be seeing his work soon.
