Wanna have Clubman, but...

Wanna have clubman, but ... ended up with an 09 Mini Cooper S in Chili Red and a pretty loaded one.

For few years now, we (Monika and I) have been involved in different ways with the club. Most of you probably know us from the evnets we have hosted at our office/shop Clear Auto Bra in Webster Groves

We really wanted a Mini, but with 2 little kids, it just did not "fit" us. So, when the Clubman was coming out, I got very excited because of the bigger size. Monika's excitement was not as great, she wanted a mini Mini, a real one.

This Monday, we have finaly decided that we will get a Cooper S. We would not know what to do with all the room in the Clubman S. The dealer of choice - Mini of St. Louis. Thank you Matt and crew.

Nick (5) and Maya (3), both love cars and will be enjoying the rides with their Mommy and sometimes Daddy in the new Mini. It is our new "family" car since it is the biggest car our family owns.

Let the fun begin !!! Let's motor !!!

WE are all excited to become a part of the Mini Family and look forward to all the joy with the Mini and you guys.

Mark

Pictures or ban!!!

Congrats Mark. Can't wait to see it. We can recommend someone to do the clear bra, tint, and stripes on your new car.

You should pick a new handle and get the mods to change it for you.

I did the same thing. Once i test drove the Clubman and then quickly realized there really is no more space than the Cooper. The awful split rear window and the hideous rear gray, black or silver unmatched panels just turned me off completely. I would rather not have the extra trunk space. I just think the boot looks awful on the clubman. The split door as cool as it is i think they should have redesigned it so it does not have that nasty huge split.

i still love the clubman, but prefer the cooper. i just thought that with 2 little kids it would be more practical.

Monika says we will be just fine with what the room in a cooper. and afterall, she will be the primary driver, so she gets what she prefers. i already have my speed yellow toy.

What is the clear stuff?

No pics untill I rip the stripes off and find a competent person to do my stripes the right way. I do not think I will be able to outdo you, though.

I should have the tint done by the end of the day. I know a guy for that, thank you.

If you get really jealous of Monica's MCS, we can talk about a trade for your speed yellow.
