new owner and my shopping experience (Aug/Sept 2010)

Hi all,

First of all, I would like to thank this forum for information on Mini and some actually help me deciding. My choice was between a hardtop non-S and the new Mazda 2. I finally go with mini because its driving style and instant responding power.

I started looking and doing my homework on Monday (8/30/10) and bought the car on Wed. (9/1/10). I had contacted Monrovia, Irvine, LB, and Crevier. Here are my experience with them.

Monrovia - closet to my place, went there for test-drive and price was little bit high. $23K for hardtop non-S with BT before tax.

Irvine - had a quote from them, hardtop non-S w/o BT $20K before tax
LB - a sales said he would mail me a quote but never receive it......
Crevier - fastest respond to my question within two days....able to match $20K from Irvine (but I picked another vehicle)

I ended up with a 2010 hardtop non-S with BT, sport seats (rooster red), LoJack (Crevier has every mini installed....), mat, cargo net, etc. with $22K before tax (with little bit high mileage about 136 miles on odo)

Whole process was quick since I know what I want and my budget range......Sales at Crevier were friendly, took me to the underground vintage museum......

only 2 days after, I already had 100 miles logged......like Mini's steering and power!!! (but no match to my friend's JCW, I guess )

Just wanna say hi to everyone and I'm willing to share my experience for any potential buyers out there in SoCal area!!
