Wow, that was easy! I just don't want to step on anyones toes. Is it possible to change the title of the thread to something like "New Members, Step Up and Introduce Yourself" or something snazzy? Is there a similar thread on the SCMM board? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out which board is the main board.

New title - DONE.
And yeah, most of our communication within the club takes place on our own, excellent website: scmm.org
This forum is primarily a place to promote our club to potential members, and as a backup in case our own site has a problem, but yeah, feel free to use this area for any and all SCMM-related discussions!

Whoops, I requested this thread and forgot to post! Okay here is my self-promoting post ...
My name is Asya (pronounced Asia). As of today I have been in SoCal 1 week. I grew up in Sherman Oaks CA but I have spent the past 9 years in Washington DC. I made the cross country journey in Sweet Caroline with my fiance and 2 cats. It was a very tight fit and Sweet Caroline was slightly injured in the journey (cracked windshield, rock dings in the paint) but it was worth the experience. We now reside in Camarillo near CSUCI. We would love to meet up with nearby SCMM for lunch / dinner / fun.

Hi Asya. I'm Lex. I hope you enjoyed your cross country trip despite the injuries to your MINI. Beware of the Camarillo Outlet...so very tempting. Hope you, your fiancé and your 2 cats settle in smoothly.
I hope to meet you soon at one of our SCMM events. April 7th is a full day of SCMM & MINI fun - starting off with our first Saturday breakfast get together at Coogies, followed by a fun twistie run, and then finishing up at the Fireballed Studios for a BBQ and cool info. Hope you can join us for some fun!
The big club event this month is Walking the Streets of Bakersfield III the weekend of April 28th...it's a great opportunity to test out your twistie driving skills, see the beauty around Lake Isabella, and hanging out with SCMM and MidCal MINI owners. Check our SCMM message board for more information: http://www.clubscmm.com/board/index.php?topic=3759.0
Do you bowl? We need some bowlers to whip MidCal!
Welcome to the club and motor on!

hello everyone,
I'm originally from San Jose, but go to school here in LA. I've been searching around for someone to install my roof stripes, but haven't been able to find anyone for quite a while, so I thought I'd try looking for someone within SCMM. Is there anyone who would be willing to do the install? Of course, I would pay for your time and services!
Nice meeting you all,
Ellis

Hey everyone!
I just filled out the SCMM new member application online and sent the check in the mail today! I recently convinced my mom to let us join SCMM (since the car is under my parents' name, im only 18)
I'm excited to be a part of the club!
BTW, where can I get one of those sweet SCMM decals that I've seen on the rear window of some Minis??

You should be getting a SCMM decal as part of your welcome kit. If you want a larger "SoCal MINI Maniacs" banner, then you will need to come to one of our breakfast events to get one, or send a pm to our Treasury.
Look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events, and post a hello on the SCMM board once you get access.
All the best,
Lex

hi all.
Bought my first Cooper S a couple of weeks ago. Glad to be part of the forum. Yesterday was the first day since 1999 that I did not have an Audi in the stable, after and A6 and four A4s. I also have a WWII Era ****** Jeep and a 335i.
I live in Agoura Hills. Is there a Malibu GTG this weekend? I would like to come by and introduce myself and get to meet a few fellow Mini owners.
Cheers,
Kash!
