Lexington Concours d'elegance Mini Corral

Here's an event that we will be doing in a couple of weeks. We would love to have you join us.
*
The first annual Lexington Concours d'elegance is two weeks from Saturday, on August 28th.* We have 11 minis signed up and need lots more.*
*
Can you make it?* It's going to be allot of fun.* I'm hoping we will have close to 30 Minis in our corral.
*
Following are the details.
*
Hello MINI People,
Something special is happening in the Bluegrass on Saturday, August 28th in which the Bluegrass Mini Society should participate.* It’s a celebration of Automotive Thoroughbreds at Keeneland.* Historic Keeneland Race Course has opened their grounds for the inaugural Lexington Concours d’elegance.* Our efforts, enthusiasm and dollars will go to benefit the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital.* This event will showcase over 100 magnificent automobiles and the best automotive artist in the country.

There will be* some FANTASTIC cars coming.* A Brock Coupe, a Noble, Porche GT-1, GT-2, GT-3, GT-4 and a Carrera.* An Enzo Ferrari is also a possibility.*

In addition to the classics there will be car corrals for different manufacturers, eras and cars of special interest.* I’m hoping that all the members of the Bluegrass Mini Society will support and participate in this event and be part of The Mini Cooper Corral.* Please visit the Concours web page at www.lexingtonconcours.com* for all the details including an invitation to the Black Tie Dinner and Auction on Saturday night.

*

*
• We all meet that morning in the Palomar Shopping Center at 8:00 am sharp.
• Depart at 8:15 am for Keeneland.
• Arrive at Keeneland at 8:30 and set up the Bluegrass Mini Society Corral.* The entry fee to the event is $10 per person payable at the gate and a $10 per car fee to participate in the corral.* Remember this all goes to a great cause, The University of Kentucky’s Children’s Hospital.* I’ll let you know that morning who to make your corral fee check payable to.
• The hours of the event will be from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
• Bring lawn chairs, a champagne picnic or food will be catered by Critchfield’s and Famous Dave’s BBQ.

This will be an excellent opportunity for BMS members to visit and to spend the afternoon talking to the owners and viewing some of the most beautiful cars on the planet (the most beautiful of course being Mini Coopers, past and present).

What do you say?* Can you join us?* Please contact me via email as soon as you clear your calendar for this event.* I will need to know how many of you will participate ASAP.* Send your R.S.V.P

Ron Rogers
Send your R.S.V.P. to rcrogers@3rdwav.com

See you there

It looks like we are going to have 30 Minis this weekend! It’s not too late if you want to join us.

Following are the logistics for Saturday morning. If you have any further questions please send me an email pep_1203@yahoo.com

“Meet this Saturday morning in the Palomar Shopping Center, corner Man O War and Harrodsburg Roads, at 8:00 am adjacent to the Great Harvest Bakery (Coffee and cinnamon rolls to go!).
Depart at 8:30 am for Keeneland.
Arrive at Keeneland at 8:45 and set up the Bluegrass Mini Society Corral. We will enter the paddock area through the main gate off Versailles Road. The entry fee to the event is $10 per person payable at the gate and a $10 per car fee to participate in the corral.
Remember this all goes to a great cause, The University of Kentucky’s Children’s Hospital. I’ll let you know that morning who to make your corral fee check payable to.
The hours of the event will be from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Bring lawn chairs, a champagne picnic or food will be catered by Critchfield’s and Famous Dave’s BBQ.

This will be an excellent opportunity for all of us to visit and spend the afternoon talking to the owners of and viewing some of the most beautiful cars on the planet (the most beautiful of course being the Mini Cooper, past and present)."

This is going to be awesome! Hope to see you all there!
