Ric,

Checked out your thread on Randy's site. There is some sort of "delay" for modification and approval prior to posts being allowed. Therefore, no-one can reply to your search for participants. Please review and correct the thread on the pulley party forum at Webb Motorsports. Some of us would actually enjoy a day down in Lex.

Reminder, and there are a few spots left:smile:.
Call Randy or Ric. If you are in this area, you should take advantage of
Randy's expertise while you can. Opportunity knocks
Over 200 pulley installs and counting.

Blu,
You are welcome to join. Pulleys are a Cooper S thing as described below. If you have a Cooper, you can come and watch or come and have your car modded in a different way. If you want something done, you need to let one of us know in advance so that we have the right parts on hand to
do the job. Regardless, show up and meet some of us fellow Miniacs, it is
all for fun. Motor on
Best,
Ric

What is a Pulley Party?
There are many MINI enthusiasts around the country - in fact, there are more enthusiastic regions than there are MINI shops. Because of how familiar we are with the MINI, we had been asked by several regions to come to do installs. Being that we care so much about customer support, and we like to spread cheer and joy, we decided to take on the task of helping as many MINI owners as were interested.

The "pulley" is the supercharger pulley, and it is reduced by 15% in diameter. That, in turn, spins the supercharger faster, making more boost sooner and throughout the RPM range. How much of a reduction was thoroughly researched, including desert endurance testing, extensive track testing, street driving of over 15,000 miles, and technical discussions with several engineers.

We have now done over 200 cars, most of them during the pulley parties. Several owners gather at a central location during a weekend and get to chat with other MINI folk, see other cars, bench race, and leave with a car that makes an average of 15 horsepower more than when they showed up.

Blu,

I've got a Cooper (and no money) so I am going to be just hanging out and making a general nuisance of myself. Feel free to join me.
We also will be meeting up at Ramsey's in Tates Creek Center after the Pulley Party (around 5 - 6 pm) for food, drinks, and socializing.
