MINI Car Care and Detailing Clinic

Steve Treece , distributor of Zaino Brothers Products and M2C2 (MINI Motoring Club of the Carolinas) are sponsoring a car care/detailing clinic for your MINI. The clinic will be held on Saturday, August 16th. There is no cost for the clinic and lunch will be provided. We have room for 15 cars and at this time we have 8 spots taken by M2C2 members. We are now opening the remaining 7 spots up on a first come, first serve basis.

To register please post here or email mininc@aol.com, M2C2 President.

This is a group participation event where you will have the opportunity to:

Learn how to use a Clay Bar
Detail your own car in an indoor environment
Ask questions about Do's & Don'ts
Meet other M2C2 members
Zaino products will be available for sale if you do not bring your own

The location for this event is:

Import Paint and Body Shop
6173 E. Independence Blvd.
Charlotte, NC

Starting time is 9am, and we will finish by mid-afternoon.

If you would just like to stop by and watch without detailing your own MINI you are still welcome. Please register as an observer, so that we may provide lunch for you.

This is a great event. I attended the last event before my MINI arrived. Steve Treece is a super nice guy and does a really good job of showing you how to get the most out of your car's finish. All of those cars were really shining after the detailing seminar. And Loren, the owner of the shop, is very generous to let us use his place.

Zaino is a truly great product that lives up to the testimonials you'll see. For anyone out there that is sitting on the fence, please contact MININC and sign up. Even if you don't want to detail your car, please contact MININC and sign up as a spectator. You'll enjoy the day, I promise!

See ya,
JS

We still have room for 5 more.

Remember there is no cost for the clinic, lunch is provided and you get to detail your own MINI inside out of the sun.

Some of us are going to do an early dinner together after the clinic is over. All are welcome.

We are 2 weeks away from our Detail Clinic and we only have 2 participant openings left. Please remember if you want to observe please register, so that we can provide your lunch.

Here is some additional information for attendees from Steve Treece.

What to Bring: Please supply your own towels for drying and removing polish. You will need one towel for claying, at least one for drying the car, and a minimum of two if you are going to apply 2 or more coats of Zaino. Use only white 100% cotton U.S. made towels for best results. Bring a 12oz or larger spray bottle to mix the clay bar lubricant in.

Option: I have some awesome micro fiber towels. You may preview these at http://www.dftowel.com. If you want these, I would recommend one large towel for removing polish, and one or two medium towels for use with Z-6 and cleaning the glass. I can have these prewashed and ready for use at the clinic...I would need names to go with the towels...I wash it, you bought it.

Just a few little details for Saturday. If you plan to clay your car, please bring a clean 12oz or greater capacity spray bottle in which to mix the lubricant. You may also wish to bring an old sheet to put down on the floor next to the area you are working with the clay bar. This will keep the bar from becoming contaminated when you drop it.

Entrance to the shop will be through the doors at the rear of the building. Clay bar cars at the front of the line, non-clay at the back.

Finding Import Paint and Body:

Import Paint and Body is on the left going out of town on Independence Blvd. Useful landmarks (all of these are on your left) to help you find it are: Beck Mercedes, Hendrick Lexus, and Rhodes Furniture. Use the left turn lane at Rhodes to make a U-turn followed by an almost immediate right to Import Paint. Call the number in the signature block if you need more assistance.

Coming from Matthews/I-485 the body shop will be on your right. Your landmarks (all on the right) are CarMax, Toyota City, LaPointe Honda, Waffle House and Rhodes Furniture.

Regards,

Steve Treece
