It's that time of season again - the summer is almost over, the days are starting to get shorter and it's supposed to start getting cooler. But that's not all! It also means that it's time to dust off your maps, sharpen your pencils and excercise your thinking caps - that's right folks, it's time for the MMS BBQ/Scavenger Hunt.
This is the 3rd year for this event and I have some new ideas to try to implement on you, my motoring guinea pigs =)
The date has been set and I've been working hard for stars to align so that we have good weather. Mark your calendars, palm pilots and refridgerators for Sunday, September 25th.
I'll post more details as we get closer, but here's some stuff from last year.
Things you might need/want to bring along:
Full tank of gas (petrol)
Co-driver/s (navigator)
MAP/s
Cash
Driver's License
Clipboard
Patience
Cell phone
Ready and willing right foot!
Just like last year, plan for this to take almost all day. In year's past, I think we've finished up around 6pm. I would expect something similar this year. We'll all meet up at the end and go over scores and hand out the award for the winner!
The rules are "simple": Be the MINI with the most points at the end of the scavenger hunt. However, just because you finish before everyone, doesn't mean you win. Of course, as we get closer, I'll reveal what you need to do to earn those precious points!
2002 BRG/w MC. Sport package/sunroof. Yakima roof rack in the summer, Blizzaks in the winter. Motoring since July 2002 we've seen 120 temps, -20 temps, 5 accidents and 122,296+ miles.
Well - sort of. I won't TAKE THEM AWAY - but rather seal them in an envelope. Upon completion of the scavenger hunt, I'll check the envelopes to ensure they're still sealed.

I added a link to the original post which will take you to the evite. If you can make it, please let me know there, as this year numbers matter for food and prizes.
