New London to New Brighton Run (or Rally)

From our Yahoo! Group....

Quote:
Everyone,
I am getting this officially rolling. We would like to have a New
London to New Brighton Mini/MINI run to celebrate the 20th
anniversary of the original London to Brighton Mini Run in England.
I have talk to Adam (not our Adam but the Adam in England) who is in
charge of the British version. We are trying to work out how we
could get some custom regalia for our event. The event will take
place on Sunday May 15th to coincide with the Original. Times and
routes yet to be determined. Barry has suggested we do it in Rally
form which would be fun idea. All of the classics should be out of
hibernation by then also. Please let me know if there is some
interest in this. May be Motorwerks MINI could help us out (Charlie
or Patty?).

P.S. Thank you to Gayle for this suggestion.

Rob Mahaney
We'd love to have any and all MINIs that could make it! I'll keep the updates coming as I get them.

I think this is a fantastic idea! I for one would love to take part in the run. I'm new to the forum so can you tell me more about the Yahoo! group?

Thanks!

I'm new to the forum and live in eastern SD and would be interested in the rally. I have not found any clubs in the area yet. How can I get more info?

Welcome to NAM! Great to see some Dakotans (?). Our local group, MINIsota Motoring Society has a couple members from the Dakotas. Not sure what's out there as far as clubs/groups go. Until our website is up and running, we're using a Yahoo! Group to chat. You can use this link to check us out. As info becomes available about the rally, it'll be posted. It's still being planned out, with lunch stops and such.

Thanks for the interest! Keep checking back.

Adam
