Casper's B drive will be Saturday, October 29. Get ready to be scared AGAIN!!
The evening's fun will begin 4:00 to 4:30 at the the Greenbrier Restaurant in Gatlinburg, TN http://www.greenbrierrestaurant.com/index.html, dining again with the old log cabin structure's ghost, Lydia. Be sure and dress up your car and yourself for this Halloween run.
After dinner we will gather in the parking lot to view the MiNis and each other. Once again your driving fright will be enhanced with a music CD. We will be entering the darkness at 6:43.
Due to CD production and the needs of the restaurant you MUST RSVP (that means tell me you are coming) no later than Friday, October 21st.
If you are not dining with us you should be at the Greenbrier parking lot around 6PM (but you still need to tell me you are coming).
To RSVP you can respond here in the thread or by email via the forum.
The route is complete. I will be doing the final test run with haunting music this weekend. We are presently at 23 cars and 43 for dinner. Restaurant capacity is 50.
Hi QueenB, I didn't think we would be able to make it for the ride, but just might be able to after all. If possble, we'll be at Greenbriar by 6:00pm Don't worry about the CD. We just want to see everybody and their cars.
We'll try, but that would be calling it real close. We're getting ready to go to Oak Ridge and then have to come back to Greenbriar. If we can get out of Greeneville by 1:30 we just might make it.
We blew off the trip to Oak Ridge until after the drive. I'm so glad we did. What fun. Sorry we were out of costume, but we were in sucha rush... Already have a couple of ideas for next years costumes.
Great roads. Heather and I were sure you must have gone to highs school around there or something. (I also Love maps.) The ride through Gatlinburg was so much fun. The police escort was perfect. Litterally stopped sidewalk traffic. People laughing, pointing, (some squealed, I heard them) and saying LOOK at all the MINI's!!! I heard we had 37, but it looked like 100.
What are you gonna do next year when 100 show up? (how many last year, 16?)
BTW-If anybody is looking to motor in NorthEast TN today, meet me over on Highway 421 somewhere between Shady Valley (Shady Valley Country Store) and Mountain City.
It was actually 27 or 28 cars, I think. I am so glad you and your family were able to come along. I wasn't sure telling the local authorities we were coming was wise but we gave them goody bags with candy and all seemed to go very well.
What a fantastic drive!
You guys really know how to put on an event!
Thanks for inviting us (Bluegrass Minis) down.
The Hairy-Handed Gent (who ran amok in Kent) and The Little Old Lady that Got Mutilated Late Last Night had an absolute blast!
