Way back when, 5 was enough, but now, I often see several topics i want to read about in the "recent" menu, but due to the posting volume, they scroll by rather quickly, then I have to go search for them. Which isn't REALLY a pain, but I was wondering what the thoughts would be on upping that number to "15 Recent Topics" or some such? Maybe even with a scroll bar to keep the size of the window compact?

I mean, we ARE growing. (and THANKS, BTW!!!)

Verruckt,
Great point. Let me look into this early next week and see what we can do. We should be able to bump it up to 15-25 topics and display those at the top of the forum box. We can move the top 5 active forums to the bottom of the list as well since, due to the volume in those forums, they are not likely to change in the near future. Thanks again for the feedback!

Curious if you've had any opportunity to look at this one? I agree with Verruckt that the post volume can overwhelm the 5 topic limit.

This is on the roadmap as well. In addition to the other 20 features I'm working on a new dynamic menu is coming that should free up some space so we can expand the top forums and last X threads.

You sound like you've been pretty busy. ....How can you not be with folks like me asking so many questions?

I can't wait to see that new dynamic menu - it sounds extremely cool (and useful)!

Help me with this one...

I just noticed that I've been posting #27 for quite a while, although I don't post very often, I think it should be a little higher.

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by #27 and #28. Could you explain further? Thanks!

Docjchan,
the way the user data seems to work is that rather than store user data with each post (between images and sigs, that could get big pretty fast) MCO looks like each post contains a link to the user's current data. That means that your 1st post ever would now display your current signature and that you have made about 30 posts. It's a more relational way to design the site. It can be confusing to people at first, but technically it is cleaner.

I AGREE

15-25 "recent topics" would be very good......
