There's a good Mexican place in Santa Paula. I cannot remember its name, but will dig it up from my records from the Santa Paula Airport MINI Meet I planned back in October, 2002.

Ahem....in case "anyone" is reading this...I like chocolate!

Hahah congrats Clover!!! You're STILL a youngin!!
Wait a minute, my birthday comes before yours. I should be congratulating myself.

Did you all see Linda's email to Shawna? I didn't realize she lived up that way. (Shawna was a driver from the first Target Smart Tour we did) Actually I still have no clue where it is, but should be fun! I plan to bring our baby, so it should make for a fun little outting for him as well!

Richard,

If it's not on Main Street, it's nearby! LOL! I'll find it online and post a link here. And happy birthday to YOU! You are truly a young'n!

Oh no, I meant I have no idea where Santa Paula is, since I've never been there.

Yes, I'm a young'n and damn proud of it. Thank you!!!

The Museum Address:

1001 E Main St, Santa Paula, CA 93060

Mapquest says 1 hour 12 minutes or 74 Miles from Culver City but that's taking the 101, and we are taking PCH. It seems to be about 12 miles north of Ventura.

 Let me search my notes, Toshi and Richard, to see which Mexican restaurant was recommended. I'm sure both that Toshi listed are good.

Ahem, Richard: look at a map, sweetie! LOL! Santa Paula is between Ventura and Fillmore. It's a lovely citrus and avocado growing area with an airport known for the collection of antique and vintage planes there!

At any rate, it is a lovely drive from Malibu up to Santa Paula. You'll like it!

A map?? What's that?? I only got the digital equivalents from the Internet and my MINI Nav.
Ok, so now I know where it is. Sounds cool. I like vintage planes!

Thanks!

Ok, thanks to the miracle of the Internet and my secret tool for route planning, I've found some interesting info!

This is a Mexican restaurant just a few blocks from the Museum
Tia Babe's Burritos & Mexican Foods
915 E Harvard Blvd
Santa Paula, CA 93060
Phone: (805) 525-5441

No idea if this is like a Hooters or what, given the name. LOL. There are other restaurants too, that's just the closest.

The trip (PURPLE) from our starting point in Malibu is about 47.7 Miles to the destination or 1 hour 24 minutes with only 18 turns. LOL

Richard, dear: how many miles from the meeting point at Topanga Cyn. Blvd. to the starting point near Point Dume? LOL! I bet it's closer to 60 miles, when all is said and done!

Hahaha, ok ok, you got me

I couldn't find the intersection of PCH and Topanga Canyon Blvd., so I took the nearest choice.

I'm at the mercy of technology.

What do you mean, you couldn't find the intersection of PCH and Topanga Canyon Blvd? It is just beyond Pacific Palisades, where your dad lives!

Try again, sweetie!

Here's a link to the exhibit we'll see, "Revolution in Auto Racing,
How Coopers Changed the World, From the Mike Taggart Collection:"

http://www.oilmuseum.net/cooper.html

Looks like a very interesting exhibit about the Cooper heritage in race cars and features a Mini Cooper, too!
