Since it just so happens to be in our backyard, for part of it anyways. It would be great to have a really nice local turnout. So....

Who's registered and what days are you planning on attending???

 

I'm signed up, and have requested Friday off work.

No hotel plans at the moment

 

I may be able to get to the kick-off in Chicago. Other than that I can't make it to the event as a whole due to schedule conflicts and the location.

 

hopefully you'll be able to come out. need to get you out for a MINI event before too long!

Like Steve... I took Friday off as well. But I don't plan on getting a room at RA for SAT nite. Anyone interested in caravaning to the event site on friday from the northside??

 

I may not have my MINI by then so it may not matter. In fact I may have to take the Red Line

I registered from the hip, not realizing that events would extend into WI. I have not really decided what I will do. I will definitely attend the events in Chicago, but may pass on the rest.

 

I'm registered and have a room booked in Plymouth for Saturday night!

Now, which MINI to drive....

According to the Road America website, the track is reserved that weekend for the Milwaukee region national. Will we be able to get on the track?

 

There is a parade lap at 6pm on Saturday. That seems to be it as far as track opportunities.

 

I was looking forward to some track time. A few laps at least. Bummer.
I'll be there on Saturday, if it's worth while, I'll be back on Sunday. I'm only two hours away, so there's no reason to fight for hotel space.

 

I should have my Clubman well before MTTS so I registered. I plan on making it Friday night and all day Saturday (my buddy can't make it on Sunday, so we'll probably split late Saturday night; I may motor back up if it's a good time up there).

Question: Do we caravan from the Zoo to Wisconsin on Saturday or just leave Lincoln Park and meet up in Wisconsin?

 

MY wife and I will be there.

 

not sure yet... waiting for updated news from MINIUSA. Looks like a similar question was posted on MF, so we should have an answer soon... would be pretty cool to send several hundred MINIs up LSD and Sheridan Rd

 

According to the latest interview posted on MF/WRR today... they will eventually post a pdf of the route from the Zoo to Road America. Looks like we'll be having a 2-3 hour rally.

And goodie bags will be picked up at Road America.

I'm often in Chicago for business and would love to join the MTTS event in July. Since I won't be able to bring my own MINI, I hope someone has an open passenger seat?

Once I have my travel confirmed I'll post again.

Hey Philip! I saw your post on MF as well... I'm sure we can help arrainge something for you. Definitely post up once you get your travel plans together. we should have a better idea as we get closer to the event.

 

I have been so bummed out because for way too long my work schedule and my MINI schedule have been at odds.

So the MTTS sounds like fun!

Count me in for the early morning ride.

Any mid-range FRS radio should be fine.. Make sure it has sub-channels (some cheap ones do not) or you will be able to listen but not speak.. Our usual club chanel is 1 subchanel 1

 

We are planning on the Chicago events, and the drive to Road America.

 

Steve has started the official post on the CMMC site for a Friday caravan to UIC. My route to Ft. Sheridan for Wisconsin folks planning to go to UIC threads through McHenry County--anyone in the area is welcome to meet up on the way.
