Price

I emailed Hubie, price is $5850, plus install which is currently running about 15 hours. He also said they are doing a special with install and dyno tuning for $900, bringing the grand total to........

$6750

Not a bad deal!

How difficult would this be to install yourself?

I imagine it will not be easy, just due to the trimming and relocation of items, but Hubie would know better for sure

You also have to solder in a few connectors into the ECU

More reason for the professional install, no?

I guess that's true. Perhaps it's not that tough, but given the guys who created the kit are quoting a 15hr install, it's probably not as easy as say, a pulley install. Wouldn't you agree?

THen again...with step-by-step instructions, anything is possible

Anyway, that is my car that Hubie and Mike have totally made over. It is running 250 at the wheels with stock exhaust. So far I have nothing but great times with this car and haven't had any issues what so ever. In fact I am still getting 320+ miles to a TANK when I don't have my foot into it all the time (which is hard to do!). On the way home from NJ to MD I was cruising between 70-75 and punching it after the tolls, which was a BLAST! The look on peoples faces can only be described in one word "Priceless" when they hear that BOV. There head's look all around trying to figure out what it was, and then they stare at the Mini. Hubie has put out a great KIT, and take my word for it, if you have the money "GET IT" this kit not only looks professional but the performance is also at a professional level as well. The shop, the people working for him, the parts he use, all professional. I know a lot of other people are trying to come out with kits like it, but when you sit down and start chalking up who has more expertise in this area, Hubie comes out on top. That is why I went with him, he knows what he is talking about and won't bs you, and he has had this kit on his car for a year now, with over 10,000 miles on it with no problems. He is how you say "Keeping it real"

Bottom Line: This is my daily driver, it still holds amazing gas mileage, and when I need it, I have 250 wheel hp at a touch of a gas pedal.

Kill list so far:
Evo
R32
Srt-4
and many more to come
Any chance of some in car and drive by vids then. I'm sure there's a lot of people who'd be interested in what this baby sounds like, even if it is on a stock exhaust.

El Diablito goes under the knife, grinder, welder and some sweet liposuction.

We should have it ready to dyno on Monday along with video and pics.

It will be interesting to see the differences between the stock dynos and what happens when you have one that is heavily modified.
will have to limit the boost because of the pistons are not done yet.

this will at least give us a baseline

I think that if you search way back you find that Andy@Ross-Tech.com did a very interesting study monitoring wheelspin that showed that the Mini (surprisingly) was very competent in a straight line.

Around the corners, forget about it!

just got the turbo in... hooked up and now waiting on the dyno....Will tuesday be the day the mini cracks 300+whp? I can tell you this... the custom 3" exhaust all the way back is wicked..... has a growl when you step on it that doesn't sound like your grand daddy's mini......

El, 300whp would be amazing! Also, if you have a boost gauge, let us know what you are hitting at WOT. If you can, please provide a video for us of the dyno. Very happy for you!

Hubie put in a lower boost actuator to keep the boost down until we get the pistons. But it will be interesting to see how many lbs it will boost even with this actuator. Will be installing a boost controller once we get the pistons.

That sounds like the smart way to go for sure. I wish I could hear it, and I would love to see the exhaust system. Oh well, have a great day tomorrow, and please share what you can regarding photos, sound clips, and of course the dyno sheet!

Is it safe to assume you have the most bad-*** Mini in existence?

El-Diab...

I would very much like to see more photos of your MCS. Just what all are you running with now as far as mods go would be great to know.
