In case you hadn't noticed we are having the 4th Annual Fall Run on Nov. 12. We are going to meet in the Walmart parking lot on 2A in Fort Oglethorpe, exit 350 off of I 75 South at 10 AM. We are expecting folks from Atlanta and Nashville so it looks like a great time! From there we are taking a tour through the mountains (approx. 2 hours) and stop for lunch at Cloudland Canyon State Park. This is a self provided picnic and there may be a $3/car parking charge. If there isn't anyone at the booth, we don't have to pay. I have reserved the Group Shelter #2 and it has heat, bathrooms, frig, microwave, tables and chairs. We are also guaranteed parking so that shouldn't be a problem. We had decided earlier to have a 50/50 drawing and the proceeds will go to Colon Cancer Research. After lunch we can continue on with the great routes that Craig has chosen.
Sound good??
Let me know who's coming and how many cars. We seem to have some double dippers in the group! And if you have any suggestions or comments, please let me know!
Clint-we missed you and Stephanie last week. It was bee-utiful!!
OK..
1.We will need at least 4 and possibly 5 people to lead the groups of cars on the run. If you get more than that - the group starts breaking up. I should have the route directions soon from Debbie.
2. I was planning to have a dessert tray or some cookies and hot cider at the lunch for everybody to share. If somebody wants to bring some cookies/brownies etc. I'll get the cider and cups.
3. Most importantly I need ya'll to come and have a great time.
If you can think of anything else we need to do please let me know!
Great! I think I'll bring a tray from Jackson's--my favorite bakery! I don't know how many just yet. I think maybe 40-60?! They are supposed to post the announcement on the Atlanta page. I should have a better idea soon.
Thanks...that will work!
Well of course you can SJolly!! Anybody can join us.We would be tickled to have you and any other Huntsvillians. Just come on! If you need any other directions PM me and I'll hook you up. This will be great. Bring your cameras and don't forget your radios!
Mmmm.... Jackson's Bakery. This is going to be fun! I hope the weather cooperates! I have plenty of stock MINI stuff to bring for the swap.
The only thing that I have left to do is convince Samantha to bring R2!
I love Jackson's!! We should have a SCM meet at Amigo's sometime. I know a couple of folks that frequent this page go there a lot.
Ohh..Samantha has to bring him. He'll be lonely at home by himself.
But mostly she needs to have FUN!! I saw her in R2 on McCallie the other day.

I convinced her to bring R2! She's going to test the sport drive mode on the auto-tranny along the route.
Let us know when you'd like to go to Amigo's and we'll be there!

Ann,
My husband, Chris, and I are planning to be there if we can finalize a babysitter. What can we bring as far as snacks?
Yippee!
Just bring your lunch and anything you wouldn't mind sharing with everybody. I'm bringing some cookies and some cider....Just anything...maybe something salty...pretzels..nuts?? I don't want you to fret about it...just have a good time!! That's most important!!
Do you think you'd be interested in leading a group of cars???
Yikes! What a way to break in a Newbie! Sure, we will lead a group if you need us. Will you have a map/directions for us when we meet because all I remember about the run-thru was Parkers red tail light.
I'm looking forward to it, but I hope I have a MINI then! My MINI has just (tonight) developed a problem with the power steering. My power steering keeps running when I turn the engine off. I'm planning to call up Global in the morning for an emergency service appointment. I may be in my MINI, a loaner MINI, an M-Roadster, or possibly a B4C Camaro.
As my family says, I am a "definite maybe." This time of year is bad for migraines, so if I am feeling ok, I will be along, if not, I won't. It will be a good chance to test my new tires.

Well, it looks like the weather may cooperate. I hope you are feeling good too!
