Was there yesterday. This is a track that Nuzo could very well podium.
Shane (spell) was getting his car up to speed rather well. Problem was that their first practice session was shortened quite a bit by a full course black flag incident when one of the Acuras went off at the downhill. Ambulance involved. . Do note the times from 1st to sixth. VERY close.
Second practice it was poring rain. Randy has never raced in the rain before and I can tell ya, racing in the rain at LRP is very tricky as it's a very fast track. Shane drove wonderfully.

I see that the #20 car passed for the lead, led for some laps, stayed out front after a restart then something happened to the car. They led for a total of 6 laps.

#22 car had an off late in the race but finished 15th.

Both cars had among the fastest fast lap times.

Wish there were more tracks like Lime Rock on the schedule.

I think Laguna Seca is also a good track for us... we had fastest lap there in last year's race... Looks like the 1 minute mark is a nice goal to have for LRP...

That is a very nice time for LRP in a Mini. Five seconds faster then my best in street carb, so yes Tony, that will be a fun benchmark. I'm really hoping to get down to 58 secs, but don't know that I have in me ... . The car should be able to do it though...

Why is the Mini so good at LRP? Because it's truly the definition of a momentum track. There is very little chance for a higher powered car to take advantage of it's power. This track demands high speed handling. Seems the Mini has that under control.

Was sorry to hear that Team Nuzos finishes were well below their proven capabilities there. I will be interested to hear what happened that lost them 3+ laps to the leader.

Was interesting to see the carbon fiber Chevys...

Well, look into the Speed TV cameras and wave, because I'll be home on my couch watching .... . Sorry I'll miss seeing fellow NAMers, but I actually went to watch the AGT racing which is over. Too many people there on Monday for me.
