It's no longer going to be a Mini friendly track. It will become a high HP/TQ track.

What the H ??

Why would anyone want to mess with a classic like Lime Rock.

Thanks Greg, I had no idea the track would change with the "new membership".

i don't know the track, but it seems a shame any time a "classic" track is reconfigured. Pano did the same thing at Sebring, to a lesser extent, when he changed turn 7 (the hairpin), to better suit his cars. i don't make a living by driving my car and i'm sure that i would have fun on the "new" track. as a low hp/tq car, i still like tracks at which i can compete with those other cars based on the hard earned merits of MY car.

Looks like a great way to ruin the flow of the track. Bravo.

Yea, Thunderbolt looks nice. I'll be down that way sometime near late summer when it opens.
As far as LRP, I'm hearing that the old track wil remain with new pavement and curbing and the new sections were put in for the rich who are kinda scared of the fast track.. Haa.

I hope the old track remains for future events and the new configuration is used primarly by members during their track days.

Grand Am races at Thunderbolt over Labor Day. I think there will be a carosal simular to the Ring, but not sure. Thunderbolt is being developed by the owner of VIR so the facilities will be top notch.

I am glad to hear LRP will "remain" the same It would be horrible for it to have been torn apart. Thunderbolt sounds like a blast as well. With VIR's owner as the designer, it should not disappoint.

That's great! I'll be at LRP for one more go-round on the old configuration 5/10. I think it's getting paved/changed after that.

I'll be at thunderbolt at the end of aug. for three days, and I'll report back then.
