Hello, I am Sarah and I just got my mini back in September. Around then I applied to the River City Forums and no moderator has ever activated my account. I also got a window decal from someone on my mini, and would really like to be invloved with the group, how do I make this happen?? Thanks.

Ps. I applied to RCF under the same user name Mystfynyou

Hi Sarah! Welcome to the group (almost! ) I'll send Adrian a PM to get you activated ASAP.

If you're interested some of us are going to race the go-karts at G-Force on Monday night. Plans aren't set in stone yet, I'll get back to you on the time.

There have been some problems with the site recently, but I think they are
fixed now. Welcome, we will try to post more events on here from now on.

Your account is activated; sorry for the delay! I had actually activated it a few days after you registered, but got sidetracked and forgot to send a message. Mea culpa!

I received an e-mail from Jacque Hogge of Cooper Vineyards wanting to contact RCM for information on the past rallys to Cooper Vineyards. MC2 has expressed an interest on doing an article on the winery and photos. I have some photos that I will send from the 2007 rally. I am not sure what all MC2 is looking for. I know that the Rally has a lot of support from Crown MINI and I can also contact them or someone from RCM can. I don't have a contact there except for MINIUSA. I didn't get a timeframe from Jacque.

I'm new - is RCM still going?

Hi - My name is Sarah, and I'm relatively new to the area. In reviewing the threads, some are at least a year or more old....is River City Minis still a viable club?

My husband and I just moved to VA (just south of Richmond) from Germany - where I picked up not one, but two newer BRG Minis, and became totally addicted to them. Unfortunately, considering how many vehicles I owned at the time and how much I could ship home, I had to pare down. I ended up with only one of the (identical) BRG Minis...I kept the 2007 Turbo. One of the first sold in Germany! I'm nuts for Minis and have convinced at least two friends to adopt a Mini!

I'm interested in joining a Mini club, but my job means I have to keep it close to home if I can. Any info?

The club kind of goes into hibernation in the winter due to various factors(members work loads, hard to justify Bruester's in the freezing cold). Now that things are warming up, activity should start picking up.

What kinds of activities does the club involve? Do ya'll actually have meetings, or just gather at rallies, or ...?

Usually meetings and small gtg's. And bigger events that other clubs organize (Cooper Vineyard, Ferry Run)

We're a pretty small group but we try to get together the 1st Monday of the month, either at Bruester's or River City Diner.

This month we're meeting at Gelati Celesti (super-tasty ice cream) in the West End. Monday, 7pm.

Ash, you coming? And why weren't you at VIR last month?

I know it sounds like a dumb question, but approximately how long do the gtgs last? Coming up from Petersburg after work - I may not be able to get there on time!

Any word on location for May's meeting? It's (tentatively) next Monday, right?

I pick up my new clubman on Monday the 5th. If you are meeting then, I might bring it out to the May meetup if that is still happening.

Maybe we can use the meeting to have a "birthday" party for MajorBill11's new addition!

Can I get the site admin at River City Minis to approve my account????

I sent one in a while ago as Ric in Richmond....no response.

Tried again as Ric in RIC (RIC is the richmond airport)...no response.

Love to get more involved in RCM....but tough if you can't get on the forums.

Thanks!

Ric - not sure who the moderator is but I thought I'd let you know that RCM is having a drive event this Sunday, May 4th - we're meeting at Starbucks in the west end at Cox and Broad at 9am for a 9:30 am departure. We're heading West to the mountains for some fun in the twisties. Please join us if you can.

Oh wow! That would be great; I'm certainly up for that! I miss my twisties in my last location a lot more than I thought I would. And I wasn't able to get to MOTD this year (would have been my first), so this will be my consolation/buck up prize.
