Please join us on this beautiful 150+ mile run from Windsor to Napa. We will be meeting on the Windsor Town Square at 9 am to depart promptly at 9:30 am. Come with a full tank of gas and snacks for your road trip. There is both a Chevron & Shell station very near to our meeting point.
We will be driving through vineyards, along the Russian River, over the coastal range and through the Sonoma & Napa wine country. Lunch will be at historic Pick's Drive-In in Cloverdale at noon with an afternoon snack or early dinner at Big D Burgers in Napa at 4:45 PM.
This is just a reminder and a "bump"... we have 22 cars signed up so far for this run. Its going to be in some of the most beautiful areas in Sonoma County. There will be both slow and peppy drivng as road conditions warrant. All MINI Enthusiasts are welcome.

Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts October 7, 2006 Windsor-Napa Run
Well we met up on the Windsor square at 9:00AM and were ready to start at 9:30AM. We had 22 sparkling clean Minis parading through town as we departed the square and out Windsor River Rd. to Eastside Rd. on our way to Forestville and Guerneville. There we headed out Armstrong Woods Rd. and up Sweetwater Springs Rd. We then dropped out on Westside Rd. heading north through the Dry Creek wine valley before stopping at the Fish Hatchery on Skaggs Spring Rd for a rest & potty break.
After a short break we headed north on Dutcher Creek Rd. into Cloverdale of a lunch stop at historic Pick’s Drive-In. This is an old mom & pops burger & shake eatery. They took our orders and cooked us all up a hearty lunch with a special B’day celebration for Vic White. We all parked out front on the “main drag” and enjoyed the warm clear weather and casual townspeople.
After lunch we headed out to the Geysers Rd. for a climb up the mountains to the Geysers steam generating plant. Plenty of fantastic views from the twisting mountain roads. A short pit stop at the Geysers Resort Rd. for rest and photos before heading down highway 128 to Calistoga. There we wound through the Napa Valley to Angwin St. Helena, Rutherford, Mt. Veeder, Browns Valley, and into downtown Napa. We then arrived at Big D Burgers on Silverado Trail in Napa for some good “grits” and goodbyes about 4:45PM.
A good run with many new faces. Thanks to Peter Ziedrich & Howard Canfield for planning such a wonderful day. And thanks to all that joined in.
To find REME roads get Regional AAA maps and run the roads printed in Dark Black (paved). I (I80 etc) roads are to be avoided unless their is no other way to get from point A to B.
