Countryman/Paceman License Plate Lights

Hi all - anyone have luck getting the license plate lights out? I can't seem to get my out. They have a little tab to the right but I can't force em out? Feel like I am going to break them.

Got em out. What a silly design. Had to reef on em.

Also found out the its easier if you take the license plate off

+1 its easier with the plate off, they changed the design with the Countryman and the Clubman.
