Anyone have a trick to turn my position lights off when I turn the car off if my light switch is in position 2?
I am basically trying to figure out how to use the position lights as day time running lights but would like them to shut off automatically when the car is turned off. My car has xenon head lights (without the auto option or in other words no position 4) and I don't want to drive with them on all the time so I don't want to use position 3 on the light switch.
Thanks for the help

You need to make the change in the coding of the car. You can change the DRL's to be the turn signals or the position lights I believe. I use the My Carly app

Thanks devilmotorsports & bmwr606. I looked at the Carly website and saw they are located in Europe. How did you guys get the adapter? Did you buy the full version of the app or does the free version work? Lastly how exactly does this thing work? Plug in adapter to the car and open the app, check the options you want etc? Seems pretty easy. Is it more complicated than that? Seems too good to be true. Thanks for you help

I don't have their adapter, I have one I got off that I use the Torque App with. It works fine with with the Carly app, just can't access one of the more advanced modules and won't read the parameters. I don't care though, I can just use Torque if I want to to that You're gonna have to fork out the dough for the paid app, the free one just lets you see how it works but not actually do anything.
Its pretty much plug and play. Connect the adapter to the car, fire up the app, and code away.

i downloaded the app from the app store, then did in app payment
must pay to play, for free can check that the app works on your car
i bought the carly bluetooth adapter on amazon (bluetooth for android, wifi for iphone)
it is as easy as checking the options you want and then applying them

Carly finally put a iOS version on Amazon again. Got it in a few weeks ago but have been too busy to try coding. Was able to get to it today, it was very easy with the Carly app. Only thing missing that I couldn't do was one touch sunroof opening and closing. Thanks again devilmotorsports and bmwr606. If either of you knows how to do the sunroof with the app please let me know. Thanks.
