2016 Mini Countryman Alarm

Greetings everyone. I recently purchased a 2016 Countryman Park Lane edition, which has the Comfort Access System. I am looking for an alarm system that will use the existing key fob to activate and deactivate an alarm. Any suggestions out there as to an alarm system?

Just fit the parts to the OEM one yourself and have either the dealer or someone that can turn it on locally. Installing the parts is easy. Some are already there

I have a 2011 countryman All4 - What parts or kit is needed to install a factory alarm system. I don't believe one was offered when I bought the car new. Did this year and model come prewired with the harness? You show one install kit for $138 - looks as though all parts highlighted are included. This would be module, siren and housing. Is this true?

Thanks

Hi there is this right?
Are all these parts needed or are some already in the car?
Ready to order...

Looks like the sonic module mounts in the headliner above rear view. Where does the alarm siren in the plastic box mount? Underneath, but where?

Can this be coded with Bimmercode, or would I need something else?

The siren in the small box goes in the cowl engine side you have to remove one of your wiper arms and remove the cowl cover and right next to the motor for the wiper arms you mount the bracket right there and along the wiring harness that's right under there should be taped up the plug that plugs into the siren. now I haven't looked in mine to see if the wiring is there but if the wiring is not my service advisor tells me that I can buy the wiring setup and run all the wiring to install it. I'm actively looking for someone else who has a mini Countryman 2012 to 2016 with the factory alarm so I can look for those wires and have a better understanding of where I should be looking and if mine does not have those wires I can start assembling a plan of how to run the wires when I do get them.. don't forget you also need the hood switch.
I should have all the parts necessary in a couple of weeks and in the meantime I will look for the wires.
As for what will be needed in order to code it I do not know yet.

UPDATE..
I opened up the cowl cover and could not find where the siren box goes, nore the plug anywhere.... Have all the parts but still looking for someone who has a countryman with the factory alarm for me to look at it more closely for the parts...

Ok, got the horn in hand and the module in the roof. I looked and my car doesn't have a hood switch. I checked realm.com and didn't see a hood switch listed.

Does anyone have a part number for the hood switch or a link to where I can find it and a picture?

Thanks, Chuck

You will need the little switch #11 and the bracket #13 , their is a wire up there that connects to it tucked away, i dont remember if its prewired.

Were you successful?
Would love to tackle this myself and see if I can code it in ncs expert. I've got a 2012 r60 s as well. Mine has the remote start though.

Where did you find the 4 pin wire plug to connect to the module in the ceiling? Was it taped up far from that center area? I dropped my overhead console and couldn't readily see it anywhere. This is why I'm thinking that my particular car came without any Alarm wiring..
Also if you don't mind. WHERE exactly is your Siren in that metal box mounted?

Thank you!!
Ozzie

Yours has remote start!?, That's awesome. I would LOVE to set that up..
Is your Key FOB the same as regular or does it have a different set of buttons?

Hi, I've been traveling for work and working lots in town so haven't looked again.
I know that there is a wiring kit thats sold by the Mini Pats department which is what I'll have to do if my car did not have the wiring. I hope to start looking again tomorrow.

I didn't;t find the wiring in the overhead console, or under the cowl. There looked to be an 8 pin bulkhead connector under the cowl, but no wiring connected to it. Also no wiring in overhead, fished around and looked with borescope, no wiring on my base car.
