Well it didn't happen today, and i have been living in DENIAL... but began to say good bye to my countryman whom surrendered its life and kept both my mrs and my daughter alive and without a scratch as they were side swiped and pushed off the road by a distracted driver in a rush...

She took a direct off set front steel concrete curb at 30mph plus on drivers side and no intrusion was made into the cabin... the insurance company and the repair facility decided whats involved in the repair was too close and she was written off.

If you are in NYC/LI and are interested in some of my spares just PM me with an offer... don't have time to mail so pick up in Queens or Copaigue LI

NM lowering springs (new never installed)
SCANGUAGE II (removed)
BLK mirror Caps, (removed 7/2012)
Original Interior vents & Mickey Head, (removed when i updated the interior to 2013-2014 style)
Varied Rail accessories, sunglass, phone, cup holders etc... (never used)

I'm not debating the point, but I'd love to see where the manufacturer states that. I've changed out transmission fluid in the past on BMW's and been amazed at how bad the fluid looked. Thanks. . .

Can't recall what the service manual states but I know that when I called Mini of Marin and asked how much a transmission fluid change was the guy told me that it was lifetime. And then wanted to debate why I was wanting it done.

Asked him how they handle automatic transmission issues and he said the first thing they do is change the fluid. Finally quoted me over $400 to do it.

I'm right there with you...I've seen a lot of bad oil and transmission fluids throughout my time, and there will never be any type of "lifetime" oil for an engine or tranny.

red grill trim and plastidip brake duct covers

wow, the plastidip was a lot harder than I thought. hard to get it too look good without runs. but worth the effort. trim on the grill was an after thought, but I am super happy with it.

Custom Stainless Steel Mesh Grille

I finally finished the stainless steel mesh grille I've been working on for my '12 Countryman S All4. I'm still thinking I might paint it gloss black...

Did you clear coat your trim after dipping? Just got my air ducts painted and am thinking about clear coating them before installing.

First mod on our new CMS All4 was to install the badge which was mounted on our R56 for about 4 years.

Took off my plastidipped headlight rings and put on the new OEM piano black ones. Now just waiting for the taillight rings and side scuttles to be released.

You going to replace the beltline trim? I can't tell, but are the door handles black too?

I'm having an internal debate on whether or not to go this route...or with the original "black line" kit. I've heard the original "black line" kit is closer to gray than black, but haven't seen any in person.

It is the same color grey as the scuttles and roof rack. I wanted the true black. Not only that but the grey scuttles are looking water spotted and not so great.

It's changed a lot since I got it a few years back. I got rid of the red stripes JCW stripes, red vents and red mirrors about a few months after I got it (my son liked it when we were shopping for one so I added them for him, but I never really liked it that way).

Today I added the VIP Quad Light Bar with Hella Black Magic lights and tossed a little color on it with some green side mirror covers.

Tinted windows, very mild, should have gone darker, but it's an improvement over stock.

I ordered the following from outmotoring.com:

Union Jack rearview mirror cover;
Union Jack tach cover
Union Jack start button cover;
Union Jack carbon fiber tire valve caps; and
Union Jack cupholder inserts.

Thought I'd add a little color to my all black interior! I'll post some pictures when things get installed.

Bi-annual brake fluid flush & fill. Also they discovered my serpentine belt was cracked & frayed and that the water pump pulley was cracked. All repaired or done under warranty/ no-cost maitenance. Once again Mini of Marin did a good job.

Not out for the LCI grille yet. We do have the Cooper S badge from the F56. Comes in sticky which could be attached to the grille with a little work or grille badge.

Thanks
