Spiney and TG - There are allot of MINI parts and RR parts ( Rolls Royce ) shared from the BMW integration back in 2002+, spark plugs, hardware, electricals...etc. Also the supplier are very close to the factory's in England so they share allot more then one would think. That's why the MINI Goodwood ( Rolls Royce Bespoke parts ) edition was a bending of the two houses.

 

I totally understand the Goodwood thing, I was just surprised to see such a mundane bit of plastic like the mirror base cover being shared so widely.

 

For the F56 Cover to R58 / R59 .

With Alarm tested on a R58 with Autodip ( electrochromatic dimming ) 51169219361 , 51169302885

The mirror 51162353711 to the round cutout is very close, does bulge out a bit. I would say its 90% a fit , top section would need pushed down ( where the U cut out is ) , it does come with 3M tape on the inside and prep wipes to adhere in the box. The other thing is there is light eye, its detect the light coming is about a small 3mm round dot on the passenger side of the mirror , it works with the auto dim to balance the dim by measuring the rear light photo sensor and the front light photo senor on that mirror. Covering it up might mess with the auto dim but I guess you could mark where it is and drill a hole. It very thin flexible plastic ( like a shell ). So I guess with some DIY work its possible.

Like this model. I believe the manual mirror version is the same , just the round **** on the bottom is the flipper tilt for the mirror.
We did not take a pic. But that all the info I have.

Looking for a rear view mirror cover for my 2013 R56 JCW hardtop. Not sure why most covers only go up to 2012? Also. are there any Chile red rear view mirror covers?

 

Following up with ECS - So for an R58/R59 with alarm and autodip mirrors, does one of the F56 mirror covers come close?
